Q1: Can printing on clear acrylic make the pattern opaque?
A: Yes. Our UV flatbed printing can print a white ink underlay, and screen printing can also print a white base layer first. This way, colored patterns on clear acrylic will appear opaque with more vibrant colors.
Q2: Which printing method is more resistant to outdoor sun and rain?
A: Both processes have good outdoor weather resistance, but screen printing is theoretically more abrasion-resistant due to its thicker ink layer. We recommend adding a UV protective layer for outdoor use to further extend lifespan.
Q3: I have a photo I want to print on acrylic for decorative art. Which process should I choose?
A: We recommend UV Flatbed Printing. It can print full color, gradients, and photo-grade details, making it the best choice for reproducing the true effect of photographs.
Q4: Is there a minimum quantity for screen printing?
A: Screen printing requires plate making, so there is a plate cost. Generally, screen printing is more economical for quantities of 50-100 pieces or more. For small batches, we recommend flatbed printing which has no plate fees.
Q5: Can you print on the back of acrylic?
A: Yes. Back printing allows the pattern to be seen from the front through the clear acrylic, while the surface remains smooth and easy to clean. This is commonly used for control panels and high-end signage.
